The nowadays fast fashion stands opposite to where the origin of fashion is really about.
Clothes and accessory made by people (children) in Asia and Africa under the worst circumstances against low wages with the worst materials, is nowadays the standard of what the h&m or Zara´s of this world like to call fashion.
This threatens the very soul of fashion. Historically that soul has been made up of free-spirited fashion designers with vision and a creative drive who elevated luxury clothing to an art form and a sophisticated vehicle for personal expression.
Today the fashion machine no longer values creativity and substance; a brief flash will do.
On to the next.
I would like to see a new fresh view on the fashion industry.
Slower, more personal, back to handmade, made to measure treat your client as a queen with emotion and feeling.
You are not a standard women or men, every one is different from body till soul!
I was drawn by the elegance, the vibrancy and the chance to design imaginative, exclusive, well-crafted clothing that makes my clients feel confident, beautiful and out of the box,
For me the way forward is to step out of the current framework for fashion altogether.
To leave its artificial boundaries between Haute couture and ready-to-wear behind and create a mix of limited editions and unique pieces at different price points.
To counter its emphasis on speed and bring back the joy of hand craftsmanship.
To end its callous waste of resources and re-use high end materials.
But most of all, to make fashion intimate and exclusive again.
